Shop name set in Rye and converted to outlines — a western storefront face, chosen over four other candidates for its painted-sign character. No font dependency. Used as faded signwriting on the back wall of scene one so the shop is identified immediately, before any scrolling.

A barber pole has one job: to be seen from the street.

Since, near enough

1976

Two customers, nine years apart, put the start in the mid-seventies. One wrote “forty years” in 2014. One wrote “experience dating back to 1976” in 2023. We printed what they wrote rather than rounding it into a slogan.

Straight razor drawn in two groups sharing a pivot at (206,64) so the blade can be rotated open by scroll. Blade carries a hollow-grind line; the scales carry a pin and a wedge. Single colour via currentColor.

Hot lather, hot towel, straight razor. The service most shops quietly dropped, and the one Jim never stopped doing.

One chair

Walk in.
Sit down.

No appointment, no account, nothing to download. Kids who got their first haircut in this chair are grown now, and some of them bring their own.

Barber chair in side profile, facing left. Profile is what makes the object readable — the reclined back, the rolled arm and the projecting footrest are the silhouette people recognise; a front elevation reads as a stack of boxes. Every path carries pathLength="1" and an --i index so it can be drawn on in order from scroll progress. Colour and stroke width inherit.
