A ground-up v2.0 rewrite
The original bot was loved but fragile — it kept running out of memory. So it was rebuilt from scratch, properly.
From a leaky JavaScript bot to a rock-solid service
Every community feature was preserved, and the parts that crashed the old bot were re-engineered for good.
- Rebuilt in TypeScript on a proper PostgreSQL database, fully containerised with Docker.
- The memory leak that crashed the old bot is gone — scrapers always clean up after themselves.
- Activity points update instantly per message instead of re-counting the whole table every 10 seconds.
- Photo-contest votes are now bullet-proof — every reaction counts, even on old messages.
