Meadowlight

Websites & Brands · 2026

Meadowlight is the honest counterpart to the animated-website prompt packs going around. Having read a few hundred of those prompts, the cinematic part usually is not code at all: roughly 70 percent hardcode a pre-generated AI video as a full-bleed background, hotlinked from the seller's own CDN. The browser is not rendering anything impressive, it is playing a movie with nice typography over it — and your hero becomes someone else's bandwidth, someone else's licence, and a dead link the day they rotate the file. This page does the same visual job procedurally instead. Three parallax foliage bands are pre-rendered to offscreen canvases and swayed with cheap transforms, god rays drift on offset sines, fifteen daisies sway on their own phases, and a canopy scrim is drawn between the foliage and the flowers so the blooms stay crisp while the mid-ground drops back for text. Everything is seeded from a deterministic PRNG, so a given viewport always grows the same meadow. The copy is real meadow-restoration data: species, flowering windows, mix composition by weight, sowing rates.

Highlights

  • Procedural hero — no image, video or 3D asset anywhere on the page
  • Zero network requests; fonts subsetted and inlined as data URIs
  • Content is never hidden behind a scroll reveal, and reduced motion gets a static frame
  • Light and dark both art-directed, with the canvas repainting on theme change
