Twig

Desktop Tools & Donationware · 2026

Twig exists because pasting a project's structure into a chat, a README or an AI prompt shouldn't mean typing it out or cleaning up a dir dump. Right-click any folder and choose Copy tree with Twig: its tree lands on the clipboard the way Git sees the folder, following .gitignore and always skipping node_modules and .git. There is no shell extension: the menu entry starts the 5.7 MB exe, it copies and exits. Kept in the tray it adds a hotkey for the folder open in File Explorer (it knows which tab you're on and which folder you selected) and sleeps at zero CPU in about 3 MB. The tree can be written as a tree, a Markdown block or a list of paths, cut to fit with depth, per-folder and line limits, and a small card offers the other styles with one click. Written in Rust on plain Win32; free and open source as donationware.
